Outfitter Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Outfitter mobile application and outfitter.style (together, the "Service"), operated by Christopher Day, an individual developer ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who can use Outfitter

You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country) and able to form a binding agreement. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

2. Your content

You own what you post. By posting photos, captions, clothing details, or any other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Service (e.g., showing your posts in feeds and search, rendering clothing cutouts, generating previews). The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for the short technical windows described in the Privacy Policy and content you shared that others have reported (retained only for review).

You promise that you have the rights to what you post - post your own photos, not someone else's.

3. Community rules - zero tolerance for objectionable content

Outfitter is for outfits. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post or do anything that:

• contains nudity, sexually explicit material, or sexualized content;
• harasses, bullies, threatens, shames, or degrades any person - including commentary about anyone's body;
• depicts graphic violence, self-harm, or promotes eating disorders;
• is hateful or discriminatory on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or any protected class;
• impersonates another person or misrepresents who you are;
• infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
• includes another person's private information without their consent;
• is spam, scam, commercial solicitation, or manipulation of votes or follows through automation or coordinated behavior;
• attempts to probe, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service, its APIs, or its security and rate-limiting measures.

Enforcement. Every image is screened by automated moderation before it is published. Every post and profile can be reported in-app, and any user can be blocked. We act on reports within 24 hours, which can mean removing content and ejecting the offending user without prior notice. We may remove any content or suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion.

4. Anonymous feedback

Votes and picks are anonymous by design: we never show users how you voted, and vote totals are only shown to a post's author. Don't attempt to deanonymize other users' activity.

5. Your license to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable store's rules. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. The Service is provided free of charge; we may introduce paid features in the future with notice.

6. Account deletion

You can delete your account in-app (Settings → Delete account). Deletion follows the schedule in the Privacy Policy: immediate removal from the app, a 30-day self-serve restore window, then permanent deletion.

7. Feedback

If you send us feature requests or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. Style advice, votes, and sizing information come from other users, not from us - use your own judgment.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content or your violation of these Terms.

11. Apple and Google terms

If you use the app on iOS: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for any product claims, IP claims, or legal compliance relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in an embargoed country and are not on any restricted parties list. On Android, Google Play's terms of service also apply.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service, or delete your account, at any time. Sections that by their nature survive termination (2, 7–11, 13) survive.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania / United States of America, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be flagged in-app and the app will ask you to accept the new version; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The current version is always at https://outfitter.style/terms.
